Hailing from Indonesia, Omar is a young lad with ambition and a dream. The musical expert of the team, Omar has been playing the guitar for years. He has written his own music and can even improvise music and lyrics on the go. He is an idealist and visionary, and will not let his dreams and visions be crushed!
Letitia
The Crazy Illustrator
Hailing from Serangoon, Letitia is a young lady with passion and drive for design and pushing things one step further. She has dreamt up many crazy ideas, and something tells us it’s not going to end here. She is the illustrator of the group and you can always count on her for organic design and illustrations. She is a crazy ball of energy and she’s not going to take no for an answer!
Jared
The Media Guy
Hailing from Bukit Batok, Jared is the media guy. All things media, get this guy. If you want things to look good, get this guy. Having gotten into media at the young age of 14, Jared has had many years of experience and he’s not stopping yet. With crazy ambition and big dreams, he is a dreamer who doesn’t let the world stop him!
A small reflection of what we learned while making mistakes_were_made
While the theme was about exploring mistakes, we too were humbled and for a moment, we had to take a step back to remember the ethos of our project. It was about making the mistakes, not about creating the perfect visual. Along the way, the mistakes we made changed our outcome and determined the direction of the project.
Though we had certain ideas for each experiment, we didn’t have a highly specific end product in mind, so we were free to explore and let the exploration take us to derive the final output which is presented. In a sense, these experiments were really experiments and left to chance to see where the errors took us, what we could learn from the errors and mistakes, and how we could incorporate it in our work.
The project took an interesting twist as designers usually try to stray away from errors and chaos, but we were actively trying to depict error and chaos. Rather than working around our mistakes, we’ve learned to embrace our mistakes even more. The mistakes are what shape us and shape our work. Without them, there is no art and the process of the exploration is lost.
